frequently asked questions
Into the Mythos is still taking shape. Here are answers to a few common questions about the world, the Mercantile, and what is coming next.
Into the Mythos is an independent, family-built mercantile in the making. It brings together an original story world, six distinct regions, Field Notes, and thoughtfully designed goods inspired by folklore, nature, old maps, and the spirit of discovery.
The Mythos is an original story world explored through its regions, histories, Field Notes, and eventually the objects found in the Mercantile. You do not need to follow every part of the lore to enjoy the experience - or the goods that will come from it.
The Mercantile is being developed around useful, collectible, story-rich goods inspired by the Mythos's six foundational regions. We'll introduce specific pieces as they are ready. Rather than announcing finished products too early, we're sharing the world and the process as the first collection takes shape.
We don't have a public opening date yet. The first collection, The Wanderer's Mercantile, is currently in development. Join our newsletter, the Expedition Dispatch, to receive opening news and occasional glimpses behind the scenes.
The Mythos currently has six foundational regions in our story world: Wildwood, Forgotten Library, Nightways, Ember Highlands, Hearth & Hollow, and Glasshouse District. These are currently The Known Roads. Each region has its own atmosphere, stories, materials, and visual language.
Field Notes is the blog for Into the Mythos, or as we like to call it - our journal. It is a place for stories from the world, regional discoveries, creative-process notes, naturalist observations, and closer looks at the ideas shaping the Mercantile.
The Expedition Dispatch is the Into the Mythos newsletter. Subscribers will be the first to receive important opening news, new Field Notes, collection updates, and occasional correspondence from along the Known Roads.
Events and markets may become part of the journey as the Mercantile grows. We will announce confirmed appearances through the website and the Expedition Dispatch.
We'll publish shipping destinations, costs, returns, and other purchasing details before goods become available. We want those policies to be clear before the Mercantile opens.
